 Wasiu Ajadosu emerges Osun NUJ Chairman

Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu won the Osun state Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) bye-election conducted on Thursday, 24th of September, 2020.

Comrade Ajadosu of Radio Nigeria defeated his rival, Dele Ajayi of Unique FM. Ajadosu polled 136 votes to defeat Ajayi who polled 59 votes.

The Chairmanship seat became vacant following the resignation of the former Chairman, Comrade Kehinde Ayantunji who was appointed as the Senior Special Assistant on Students Affairs to Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

Ajadosu was the Vice Chairman of the council before he assumed the office of the Acting Chairman after Ayantunji resigned as Chairman.

Osun-Insight gathered that comrade Sesan Adeleke emerged as the Vice Chairman unopposed. The elected officers of the council were sworn in by Barrister Oyesiku Adelu.
