Governor Gboyega Oyetola has approved the payment of Seven hundred and Eighty million as pensions for retired officers of the civil service of the State of Osun.
In a statement signed ans released to the press by the Head of Service, Dr. Festus Olowogboyega. He said “Apart from the release of a sum of FIVE HUNDRED AND EIGHT MILLION NAIRA (N580M) to pay pensions of retired officers of the civil service of the State of Osun, the governor of the state, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola has released additional sum of ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY MILLION NAIRA (N150M) to pay selected retirees under the contributory pensions scheme based on merit and additional FIFTY MILLION NAIRA (N50M) to pay part of the gratuities of retired officers under the old pensions scheme.
The total amount released is SEVEN HUNDRED AND EIGHT MILLION NAIRA ONLY, (N780M)
The list of the names of the retirees selected on merit is posted on the notice boards of the ministry of Information and Civic Engagement, State Pension Bureau, and the office of the Head of Service. Retirees are enjoined to check their names.
Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola assures all workers, both serving and retired that all efforts will be mustered to always give their welfare the pride of place it deserves”.
He further noted that payment of the released fund starts on the 8TH SEPTEMBER 2020.
