Osun PDP chair writes billionaire businessman, Dr. Deji Adeleke, clarifies financial transactions
Hon. Soji Adagunodo

The political tussle between the Osun state People Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Soji Adagunodo and the Adeleke’s faction of the party may have raised fresh dust as the Party Chairman wrote an open letter to concerned stakeholders within the party to address financial transactions that involved him and Dr. Deji Adeleke, who is the elder brother of the governorship candidate for the party in 2018.

In his letter, Hon. Adagunodo gave account of the money received directly and indirectly from the billionaire and other party faithfuls.

“After about two to two and a half years of struggle you came into the party, you gave us support, tremendous support, I was aware through Hon. Prince Diran Odeyemi and Kazeem Akinleye that you expended some money, I know the amount but I don’t want to mention the amount here. I’m concerned about the ones that passed through me. During that struggle, you gave us #8.5m which passed through me via a bank transfer”, Hon. Adagunodo narrated.

He further affirmed that he still enjoys massive support from party leaders and members. ” Let me begin with the struggle to stabilise the party and establish the present executives. I want to put it on record that so many leaders, I mean majority of 80% of the leaders of the party supported this struggle from the onset and they are still with me morally, fiscally, physically and spiritually ”
