The Chief Whip and member representing Ife North at the State of Osun House of Assembly, Hon. Tunde Olatunji has empowered over sixty (60) students across his constituency.
According to a post on his verified Facebook page, Hon. Olatunji stated that he place huge premium on education because he know it is a necessary precondition to transforming the society and leaving a lasting legacy.
“It is in futherance of my irrevocable commitment towards supporting functional education in our constituency and the larger society that I registered sixty (60)outstanding secondary school students in Ife North Constituency for this year’s UTME while twenty four (24) of them that had registered on their own before this intervention were refunded.”
“In about a decade, I believe interventions like this would have yielded the emergence of solution providers across various sectors of the economy and they can in turn help solve problems globally and give back to the local community for its development.”
He further revealed that one of the beneficiaries of the scheme is now a graduate.
“It gladens my heart that one of the ‘Tunde Olatunji Scholarship Scheme beneficiary graduated from OAU this year while another two resumed into the University.”
