Chelsea contract offer piques Robert Lewandowski’s curiosity.

Chelsea, the European champions, have reportedly contacted Robert Lewandowski’s agent about a potential trade.

If they are unable to clinch a deal for Erling Haaland, the Blues are thought to be interested in signing the Bayern Munich striker.

Chelsea is reportedly interested in signing Robert Lewandowski, according to Sport Bild’s Ronan Murphy. Chelsea has been in talks with Lewandowski’s agent, Pini Zahavi, about his future.

After failing to sign Haaland, the Blues are mulling a £50 million bid for the 32-year-old, according to SunSport.

The 20-year-old Borussia Dortmund striker is thought to be the Premier League club’s top target, although a deal has yet to be reached.

Despite his rumoured £65 million release clause coming into effect in 2022, Chelsea is expected to lure Dortmund with a £135 million deal for Haaland.

Bayern Munich is reportedly not interested in selling Lewandowski and is negotiating a contract extension with him.

The Poland international’s current contract expires in two years, and he has been at the Allianz Arena since 2014.

During that time, Lewandowski has probably become Europe’s most lethal striker, hitting 41 goals in just 29 Bundesliga games last season.

Chelsea are reportedly looking to hire a new striker this summer after Timo Werner only scored six Premier League goals last season.

Tammy Abraham, a fellow forward, is not understood to be in manager Thomas Tuchel’s plans, despite interest from three Premier League clubs.

And veteran striker Olivier Giroud has already left Stamford Bridge, joining Serie A side AC Milan for £2 million.

Chelsea is rumored to be interested in Haaland and Lewandowski, although Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic is also being considered.

Chelsea is said to be interested in several players, including Declan Rice, a former young prospect valued at £100 million.
