2023: I will declare my ambition after consultation – Tinubu

All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu yesterday said he was still consulting over the 2023 election.

He stated that he will not shut down individuals or organizations asking him to run for president.

After a closed-door meeting with members of the Northern Alliance Committee, the prominent politician spoke in Abuja (NAC).

Consultations with political stakeholders, he said, were still underway.

“I’m not going to turn them down,” Tinubu replied when asked if he’ll listen to Nigerians who want him to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari. But I’ll continue to consult efficiently and widely, especially with my friends, and set a day to come out and tell Nigerians.”

Consultations with political stakeholders, he said, were still underway.

However, the former governor of Lagos State stated that all hands must be on deck to support President Buhari and ensure that he is not distracted from addressing the country’s concerns.

“The president is still in office,” he stated emphatically. I don’t want to draw his attention away from the difficulties he may be facing now. As a result, we will consult and inform the public about our plans later, and the purpose is obvious. As a result, you keep guessing.”

Ambassador Lawal Ahmed Munir, the NAC leader who endorsed Tinubu for 2023, said the meeting committed to work for the realization of his dream.

Munir resolved to support him in 2023 because of his sterling qualities.

Munir said: “The meeting ended very well. We are working for him. We are working for him because we know he will win the election when the time comes.”
